Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Media Workflow Tool (MWT) exactly?

  • audio analysis tool
  • signal processing tool
  • media processing tool
  • optional external media input

MWT is a media workflow and processing application.
It focuses on task management, automation, processing, and archiving of audio and video files.
It is not a downloader and does not provide content sources.

Does MWT download content from the internet?

No.

MWT does not download content on its own and does not include any tools for acquiring online content.

It can optionally integrate with user-provided external tools, but MWT itself is strictly a workflow and processing layer.

Does MWT include or bundle third-party tools?

No.

MWT does not bundle, distribute, or install any third-party software for content acquisition.
Any external tool integration is fully optional and entirely managed by the user.

Can MWT work without any external tools?

Yes.

MWT includes a local processing mode, which allows you to:

  • process local audio and video files
  • convert formats (e.g. MP3, MP4)
  • normalize and archive media
  • manage workflows and metadata

This mode works independently and does not require any external tools.

What kind of external tools can be integrated?

MWT can optionally use third-party command line tools (for example yt-dlp) to process online media sources.
These tools are not included, distributed, or endorsed by this application.
Users must install any external tools themselves and are responsible for complying with the terms of service and copyright laws applicable to the media they process.
MWT is designed to work with command-line based external tools provided by the user.
The exact choice, configuration, and legality of such tools is the sole responsibility of the user.
MWT does not recommend, provide, or endorse any specific third-party tool.

Is MWT legal to use?

Yes.

MWT is a general-purpose media workflow application.
It does not provide content, sources, or acquisition mechanisms.

Users are responsible for ensuring that any media they process — and any external tools they choose to integrate — comply with applicable laws and licensing terms.
